| LD-250 LIGHTNING DETECTOR | |

| This page provides a WWW interface to a Boltek LD-250 Lightning Detector which is capable of detecting lightning strikes within a 300 mile (aprox 480km) radius. The detector is located in Queanbeyan, a NSW town near Canberra, Australia. A 480km radius, i believe, will cover the NSW coast close to Taree (and Tamworth), and down to Wilsons Promontory, and comes close to getting Melbourne, and Bendigo (it will easily get Sydney). | |
| Lightning Strike Plotter | |
| This is the new dynamically generated image version. This should work on any browser which will display PNG image files, which i believe is most of the browsers used today. The demo versions are static images from a storm which hit Canberra on 11th December 2003 at 22:30 GMT and have been added to show what the images look like with lightning plotted on them (in case there isn't a storm nearby at the moment). | |
